Don’t You Believe It, by A.J. Hoover goes through 25 logical fallacies that are commonly used today. Although he doesn’t give an in depth look into logic itself, this was still a very helpful book. Hoover always starts his chapter with two quotes that apply to the logical fallacy. He then goes on to explain the fallacy and what it means. Many times he will use political speeches, secular books or atheistic arguments as examples of logical fallacies (which is fun to read when you’re a Christian). When he’s finished shooting down weak arguments, he likes to end with a comic strip (usually peanuts). The thing I liked about this book better than other logic books is that he used real life examples other than hypothetical situations. If you want a basic short easy read from a Christian perspective, I would suggest this book.
